First of all, what is R410A? It is one of the refrigerant introduced to market in 2006 with it’s higher efficiencies that achieved when operating at higher pressures. However this refrigerant has known as greenhouse gases and are partly responsible for the greenhouse effect on the Earth.
R410A has a GWP of 2,088, which means that if 1 kg is released into the atmosphere, it will cause 2,088 times the harm as 1 kg of carbon; in comparison with R32, which has a GWP of 675 — about 30% lower than R410A.
As a result, we are now seeing a shift to a new refrigerant, R32 due to it’s performance in regards to the environment, energy consumption, efficiency and safety.
Difference Between R32 and R410A: Benefits of R32
R32 refrigerant, meaning it is easier to reuse and to recycle due to it’s single component refrigerant properties. It is also relatively inexpensive to produce, is easier to handle because it doesn’t separate and utilises familiar technology, keeping costs similar.
Before you start worrying about R32 equipment being “untried” and “new,” keep in mind that R32 has been widely use, with over 10 million units installed and operational.
